LEVROSHIELD
Food supplement
LEVROSHIELD is designed for the hardest-training athletes. In its composition, LEVROSHIELD contains a high dose of L-Glutamine and beta-glucan. One portion of LEVROSHIELD supplies the body with 4.5 g of L-glutamine complemented by beta-glucan. Studies conducted by the chair of biochemistry at Oxford University show that L-glutamine significantly supported the body’s immune system, minimising the number of infections in the athletes studied [1]. In addition, glutamine is credited with a significant role in the synthesis of muscle protein [2], which can have a direct impact on sports performance. With the components contained in LEVROSHIELD, you can protect your muscles and minimise the feeling of overtraining – the maximum protective effect of LEVROSHIELD is thanks to the beta-glucan.
The product is recommended for the hard-working athletes in the period of recovery and lowered immunity. LEVROSHIELD is the best support for hard-training athletes. Protect your body, protect your muscles and protect yourself from colds and injuries! Get LEVROSHIELD today!

Glutamine is the amide of glutamic acid and is essential for human body as the basic component of protein. Due to the fact that glutamine is synthesized in the live organisms from the glutamic acid, it is not an essential amino acid and does not have to be present in the diet. Glutamine plays an essential role in the metabolism of nitrogen and ammonia. The toxic ammonia produced in amino acids reactions in different tissues is assimilated with glutamic acid by its reaction, which leads to the formation of glutamine. Thus reserving the ammonia, which is “restored” by converting this amino acid back to the glutamic acid. Moreover, the glutamine is involved in the synthesis of purines, pyrimidines and many other amino acids. It may also be a substrate in the formation of glucose in the process of gluconeogenesis, if the number of other nutrients is not satisfactory. It is then absorbed together with the alanine from the muscle tissue. Glutamine is essential in the process of the formation of glutathione - an internal anti-oxidant. As a natural antioxidant, the glutathione stabilizes the membranes organelles of the cells and suppresses the release of catabolic enzymes - as an amino acids transmitter in the gamma glutamyl cycle - it facilitates the protein synthesis and supports the formation of positive nitrogen balance.
Beta-Glucan is a water-soluble compound belonging to polysaccharides which occurs in the cell walls of plants, fungi and yeast. The beta-glucan stimulates macrophages - basic cells of the human immune system, which activates the immune response of the body and improves its immunity1. All macrophages of living organisms carry a receptor which requires activation to initiate the immune response. The function of the receptor and the activator may be compared to a key unlocking a door - a particular door lock may be opened by a particular key. The same happens when activating the macrophages, the receptors occurring on the surface of the macrophages are a perfect match for the beta-1.3/1.6-glucan, which activates the receptor when it sticks to it2. The phagocytes activated by beta-glucan are ready for immune reaction and switch the body to a standby mode, reducing the chance of infection. The macrophages function like in the phagocytosis, the macrophages get rid of the cells by “eating” them - which means they absorb and destroy them. In case of a “non-self cell” in the body, which is recognized as a threat, the macrophages immediately remove it and the immune system, switched to a standby mode, produces an increased amount of lymphocytes and antibodies to protect the body from infection. After consumption, the beta-1.3/1.6-glucans reach the intestines where they bind with the immune system cells, just as macrophages2. The supplementation of beta-glucan is recommended for all sportsmen practicing high intensity physical exercises, due to their increased susceptibility to infections. Moreover, the research has shown that beta-glucan reduces the body’s ageing processes3.
